I hope you’re not too engulfed in this early spring week to enjoy some time outdoors. Spring usually means “spring cleaning,” revamping and updating things, and progress-checking. In both our business and personal lives, we can typically benefit from the first-quarter check-in around this time of year.
In my own practice, I probably haven’t been too consistent (until very recently) with making this time of year a period of purification. What it looks like for me is optimizing automation: schedules, client routines, commute times, and writing time. I pre-wrote part of today’s piece yesterday, so I think it’s safe to say spring cleaning is working.
I also took some time to dig for wellness content and nuanced news that may have been buried in the recent storm of geopolitical crises. I think the good content has an “evergreen” quality about it, in that you can look back on it years from now and think “that still rings true.” One of the pieces I’ll share with you today has that quality about it.
Another piece I liked this week came from a Google search that was prompted by a concern I had for myself and my sleep — our understanding of screen time and bedtime. It turns out the correlation between scrolling through TikTok and bad sleep might not be as tight as we think. Or maybe it is, regardless, this piece sheds some light on it.
