Here are the best things I read this week.
As promised, your weekly dose of feel-good, appealing stories that are satisfying in many ways.
Welcome back.
I hope you’re having as good of a week as you possibly can. This week’s installment of “The Good News” is much like the previous one. There are five different stories, each with a different aspect of feel-good-ness to it. I’m still working on my curating process, and it usually involves just getting lucky skimming through my Apple News and Twitter Feed on a weekly basis.
I’ve actually added the first story for free subscribers to read because it was some of the most-interesting news of the week to me. Not because it was about a random person finding success. I actually enjoyed the idea that this person was never concerned about money; just about his life partner being happy. How can that not make you smile?
The others may or may not make you smile, depending on your sense of humor. I’ve surrendered to the idea that some articles I like won’t necessarily be as appealing to all of you. But hopefully at least one of them gives you a break from the constant storm of news in your notification center.
One tells about the Work From Home environment’s permanent stamp on America. This one was especially awesome to hear about since an old college advisor of mine recently e-mail blasted all of the alumni to tell us she’s pivoting to WFH to be with her family. Go her.
Another might fall in the category of absurd, but it involves a former politician pranking some celebrities. There’s another that shows astounding views of a planet we may have been wrong about. And lastly, an airport that doubles as a unique museum; one I have yet to visit, but plan on crossing off my list very soon. Enjoy.
See you tomorrow.
